The Spec-Driven Flow
1. Write the Spec
Define inputs, outputs, behavior, edge cases, and constraints. Be explicit about data structures. Include examples of success and failure.
2. AI Builds from Spec
Claude Code generates code from your specification. The spec provides ground truth—no guessing, no hallucination, no filling in gaps.
3. Verify Against Spec
Test the result against your spec. Does it handle the inputs correctly? Does it produce the expected outputs? Does it handle edge cases?
